The stunning Fanny Ardant

In my web travels I discovered this stunning image of French actress, Fanny Ardant and a too cute Lhasa Apso pooch. I'm also find her gloves rather appealing!

Audrey Hepburn Inspirations

For a lovely lady quoted as saying, "I never thought I'd land in pictures with a face like mine", she sure was beautiful! This is one of my favourite images of Audrey...

Fashion Feature; Modcloth Shoe Lovin'

Hi there and welcome to the weekend, almost!

This week I wanted to share with you some gorgeous shoes available on Modcloth. There is a surplus of ultra cute classic designs as well as some rather strange new modern gear and I've pulled a few pics of my favourites to share, the first of which is this adorable 'Party Planner Heel'.

What's not to love about them? I adore the scalloped trim, the striped heel and bow accent as well as the fact that the height of the heel won't leave you prey to a rolled ankle. They're perfect to go with a LDB but I'm thinking that I've got a dress that might match just as well...  Could be a bit risky!

Priced at $49AUD

Secondly, there is the 'Glitter on the Wet Streets' heel. Pretty in both pink and glitter, I love the sensible stiletto heel, rounded toe, and rhinestone-encrusted buckle at the ankle strap. They're a classic shape but rather modern in every other visual respect.

<>  On my list is the 'About the Benjamins Heel' and my goodness, what a gorgeous shoe! They're just a little bit classy and I'm a huge fan of the sturdy, stacked wood heels, vivacious violet soles, and scalloped teal trim. If those dazzling details don't inspire you then surely their grey and black houndstooth vamps and rich purple satin ribbon laces will! They're certainly very dashing indeed but what would one match them too?

The final keeper is the plain and simple  'Peach on the Beach Sandal'. I own a pair very similar that I picked up from a Target store last year (hooray clearance sales) and they're just so comfortable.. even if a little understated.

Pretty little things; vintage wallpaper part 2

Well hello there & happy Wednesday... hope your week is going well. I know mine has been rather hectic again and I've been enjoying some downtime looking at 'pretties' this morning.

In March of this year I featured a post about vintage wallpaper and I've come across some new lovely pieces (again on Flickr) to share with you.

I have also discovered that there is a massive market for vintage wallpapers and that you can buy them online! Perhaps I've been a little neglectful in my research.

Vintage Pirate Wallpaper
Another 1970's favourite from Vintage Pam

Roses from an estate sale by 50's Pam

Another 'lovely' from 50's Pam

Wallpaper from a 150 year old house

Whilst it takes a special house to have wallpaper, especially in Aus, I think everyone can appreciate the cute designs of yesteryear.

Anyway, have a lovely day!

Too cute

Too cute, not sure where this baby came from but it's rad nonetheless.

Fashion Feature; Whiteowl on Etsy

This week I’d like to share with you the delightful collection of jewellery from Whiteowl on Etsy.

The pieces are a magical combination of new textiles combined with old (many materials are rescued from estate sales, flea markets and even the designers own Grandmother!).
You can help but adore the photographic presentation of the store. I love the thoughtfulness and care that has clearly been put into creating both necklaces and earrings for sale from just $20AUD (approximate).

Here are a few of my favourite pieces;

Botanique Lace Necklace Priced at approximately $36AUD
An oversized garden of dusky grey lilies hangs asymmetrically from a duo of vintage copper chains

Emmaline Lace Necklace
Priced at approximately $36AUD
a dramatic spray of lacy blooms, dotted with petite aqua beads and hung from antiqued brass chain.

Circe Lace Earrings
Priced at approximately $24AUD
lovely stylized ivory lace blooms contrast with antiqued brass chains and sway from extra long antiqued brass wire

Price of postage from Whiteowl is exceptional if you don’t mind and orders are turned around in 2-3 working days. What more could one ask!

I’d also like to mention that the designers have a cute-as-a-button blog you can subscribe to for updates and tips on the latest flea market trends so be sure to sign up.

Poster awesomeness; Teagan White

I've been looking for some new art for around the house and stumbled across the work of Teagan White.
The mixture of the illustration within the message really appeals to me. Oh to be so creative!
